Dogs are our passion and every day spent walking our clients dogs is as enjoyable for us, as it is for the dogs. Desert Dogs is a family run business, each and every dog we walk is considered part of our family so you can trust in us to take care of your dog as you would yourself. Friendship is at the core of our story and the reason why we exist, and we strive to be good and trustworthy friends to you and your pets. Desert Dogs takes pride in being "Your best friend’s new best friends!”

Our vision of pet care is centered around the principles of physical health, mental well-being and happiness, and enrichment. We provide fun and engaging dog walking, desert dog hikes, pool swims, and pet-sitting services to pet lovers in the Greater Tucson area, including: Green Valley, Sahuarita, Amado, Tubac, and Vail.

Hello! I’m Courtney!

I am a lifelong animal lover, grew up with a household of furry friends, and I have had dogs as family members my entire life. My love for pets is what sparked me to enter the wonderful world of dog walking and I treat all pets as if they are my own.

I'm a true dog person, love the outdoors, and am very active. We can do walks, go on desert hikes, swimming, even a play date at the park. I'm an experienced dog-sitter who you can trust to take amazing care of your pup,,, young and old, big or small.

I moved to Tucson from Seattle, (hence the '425' cell phone number) and I absolutely love living here! Professionally I am a hairstylist and a former salon owner, and have always done pet sitting and dog walking on the side. Since moving to Tucson I’ve taken a break from hair to get to know the area, and so came the idea of opening a premier dog walking, dog hiking, and pet sitting business. I’m super excited to now have dog exercising be front and center in my life with the starting of Desert Dogs - Dog Walking Services.

I love making new dog-buddies and want to ensure they are as happy as can be. Prior training classes have taught me how to interact with dogs that may be a bit timid, or shy with new individuals. Dogs are the best companions and I look forward to making friends with yours!

Lucky me!! I like to think I have the best job in Tucson!

Every day my furry friends greet me with wild excitement. In just a short time I've become deeply attached to all the pets in my care. Together we explore new territory, get great exercise, experience all kinds of weather, discover new sights and smells, and get to romp and play in the desert.

I was born in Texas and grew up in rural Washington State, and have always loved the company of dogs and pets in my homes. My work with Desert Dogs has gifted me with an extended family of beautiful, lovable pets. I embrace the different personalities of the pets in my care and find that it's extremely rewarding to give a dog some great exercise.

I enjoy being outside and getting to know the pups I walk and hike with, meeting other dogs and new people, and seeing and exploring new places on our walks and especially the Desert Dog Trail Hikes.

Courtney and I relocated to the Tucson area from Seattle, ditching the wet, grey and gloom for the warmth and beauty of Arizona, to be closer to her parents as they get older, and we haven't looked back at all. We LOVE the Tucson lifestyle and look forward to making many more friends,,,
